Altify Software Founder and CTO named Philadelphia Top 40 Under 40 2014

40 Under 40 celebrates the best young business minds in Philadelphia

At no time in Philadelphia’s recent history have the younger generations seem so energized and committed to building a better region.

We see evidence of that all around us through a newly energized technology sector, a resurgence in industry and manufacturing, a growing tourism base and continued excellence in professional services.

For that reason, 40 Under 40 is one of our favorite long-standing Philadelphia Business Journal traditions. For the staff of the Business Journal, it’s just plain fun to try to identify who is “on the rise” in our community. (See the photo gallery to see this year’s winers.)

This year, we received 225 nominations for the 40 spots. The vast majority of those nominated were very accomplished, making us wish at times that we could honor 200 Under 40. We’d like to give a tip of the cap to everyone who was nominated; you should feel proud that someone in your life felt you are one of the very best young people in Greater Philadelphia.

Enjoy this photo gallery announcing our 2014 honorees. In May, look for extensive coverage of the 40 Under 40 in our weekly edition and online site.

On the evening of  Tuesday, May 20, we will honor them at the Crystal Tea Room in Center City’s Wannamaker Building.  The event is always a blast. It includes a talent show, in which your future leaders show off skills that range from operatic sining to “shotgunning” a beer.

We’ve received some criticism for having too much fun. We’re not about to stop.

Again, congratulations to the entire 2014 40 Under 40 class. The PBJ is proud to honor you.
